Your missions

The statistical research assistant will support Darden faculty on advanced statistical needs. This may include time series analysis, structural equations modeling, custom code for bootstrapping, and validating survey instruments.

Responsibilities:  

  • Cleaning and analyzing datasets for faculty 

  • Providing interpretations of analysis results 

  • Advising on advanced statistical techniques 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Experience with wide range of statistical techniques 

  • Ability to learn new statistical techniques and software 

  • Strong documentation skills 

  • Experience with statistical software is required. This could include Stata, R, Python, or other programs. 

 

Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Position is open to students in business, economics, psychology, statistics, math, or other disciplines with strong statistical and writing skills.  

Pay is dependent on the degree the applicant is pursuing: 

  • BA/BS: $16/hour 

  • MA/MS: $19/hour 

  • Ph.D.: $25/hour 

These positions offer 8-20 hours/week for the academic year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
