Description

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Database Team Lead to oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our critical database systems to help support the RITS program.

Job Duties

Manage and mentor a team of database administrators.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance.
Ensure SLA's, KPI's, POAMS, Incident tickets, and aging tickets are managed per guidelines.
Mange SOP review, modification, creation, and submission to the PAL. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the MS SQL database environment.
Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
Ensure high availability (multi-node Clusters) and disaster recovery plans are in place.
Over-see STIG'ing, System Security Plans (SSP), and Patching.
Ensure database performance and timely troubleshooting of issues.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors and nine (9) years of experience; four years of experience in lieu of degree
Experience with managing and mentoring a team of database administrators.
Experience with assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring team performance.
Experience with ensure SLA's, KPI's, POAMS, Incident tickets, and aging tickets are managed per guidelines.

Required Security Clearance

An interim clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Must be a US Citizen

Desired Skills

Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell). Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Certifications in MS SQL Server. Knowledge of cloud-based database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.

Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
