Job description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting and Compliance, the Sr. Analyst ,Technical Accounting and Compliance will help drive accounting policy and maintenance of the global internal control environment. As part of this role you will apply your knowledge of finance, corporate accounting practices, internal controls, and GAAP to help steer the complex accounting decision making process and achieve compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Performing and reviewing all assigned internal SOX testing and being a resource for other self-testers globally.
  • Researching complex technical accounting issues encountered by the Company, including revenue recognition issues, accounting for leases, and impairment of intangible assets.
  • Prepare position memos to document the financial and control impact arising from technical accounting issues.
  • Developing and documenting new accounting policies and procedures, as well as reviewing and documenting currently undocumented processes.
  • Supporting both internal and external audit activities throughout the year, including the remediation of issues found during those audits.
  • Identifying and implementing new opportunities for process and productivity improvements in the both the accounting department and other departments across ASP.
  • Analyzing and reviewing financial data and preparing financial statement supporting information.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of Public Accounting experience and/or direct experience with Technical Accounting and SOX in a medium/large corporation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB audit standards, and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with expert proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from direct manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 67,700.00 - 125,900.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
