We are seeking an adept VAVE Project Manager with a proven track record in project management, capable of leading multiple concurrent projects seamlessly. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a relentless commitment to project execution, coupled with strong financial acumen and a solid technical foundation. As the VAVE Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives aimed at optimizing product costs while maintaining or improving quality. Responsibilities

  • Lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects aimed at identifying cost-saving opportunities across product lines while maintaining or enhancing product quality.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, regulatory, manufacturing, and quality to identify, prioritize, and execute VAVE initiatives.
  • Utilize project management best practices to develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, allocate resources, and track progress towards cost-saving targets.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of product designs, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by implementing lean methodologies, process optimizations to achieve cost reduction targets.
  • Partner with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials, components, and manufacturing processes that offer cost savings without compromising product quality or performance.
  • Lead value engineering workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to quantify cost savings, track project ROI, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to support the successful execution of VAVE projects.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management, providing regular updates and recommendations for course corrections as needed.
  • Effectively use Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools and processes, such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen, to accelerate product delivery to the marketplace.

Our Needs:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or technology related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on cost reduction initiatives. PMP preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related professional experience with process improvement, metrics and project management leveraging continuous improvement tools and processes
  • Experience delivering design and non-design changes in a regulated field. Medical device industry experience preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in cost analysis, budget management, and ROI evaluation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Engineering/Technical projects to deliver on objectives. VAVE/cost reduction experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in the management of complex projects in Engineering/Technical field.
  • Track record of leading others to pursue challenging goals and to challenging the status quo to develop breakthrough solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with lean methodologies, value engineering principles, and supplier management practices.
  • The ability to set high standards for results (refuse to fail demeanor), and once achieved, raises the standards even higher. Holds people accountable for meeting commitments and getting results.
  • Creates an environment that encourages risk-taking and ensures inclusion of varied perspectives.
  • Metric driven attitude with high level of accountability for performance.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $99,700.00 - $185,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
