Sr QA Engineer REMOTE - COLOMBIA

Overview:

We are looking for a senior software QA to join our team and ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. As a senior software QA, you will be responsible for designing and executing tests, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve software performance. You will also mentor and coach junior software QA, promote best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development process.

• Contribute, as part of a QA team, towards an organizational goal of providing extremely high-quality, robust software products

• Formulate and deploy automated test suites to validate back, front, and mobile applications.

• Execute automated tests utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as GIT Version Control, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, Gradle, Maven, JMeter, TestNG, Java, and Postman, applying Screenplay as a design pattern.

• Perform functional, UI, smoke, regression, usability, performance, compatibility, and accessibility testing on various web and mobile applications.

• Engage with cross-functional teams to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with project objectives and timelines.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to nurture junior team members.

• Contribute to refining and implementing testing processes and optimal practices.

• Document test execution results and log defects within issue tracking software (JIRA)

• Detect and communicate defects and issues, collaborating closely with development teams to bring about resolutions.

• Participate in continuous process improvement efforts in test coverage and test effectiveness.

• Serve as a technical interviewer within the talent acquisition process.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 9+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 1 year as a senior software QA or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in automated testing, with a specialization in APIs, WebApp and Mobile technologies.
• Proficiency in GIT Version Control, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, Gradle, Maven, JMeter, TestNG, Java, and Postman, applying Screenplay as a design pattern.
• Familiarity with Java for automated testing and scripting tasks.
• Expertise in file handling and data parsing techniques, facilitating effective testing of file feeds (CSV, XML, JSON)
• A robust understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, ensuring streamlined and effective testing processes
• Exceptional analytical skills, enabling adept problem-solving and decision-making in intricate environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, facilitating seamless teamwork with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
