Director, Business Intelligence (Remote)

  • Remote. Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00. Employee must live in one of these approved states to be considered for a remote schedule: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, LA, MA, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NE, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA.
  • Exempt Salary Range: $175k-210k. Position eligible for additional incentives including bonus, 401(k) match, health and welfare benefits, amazing culture, growth opportunity and more!!

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Director of Business Intelligence who shares our vision of building sophisticated business intelligence infrastructure and provide business insights to advance small business lending. In this role you will develop best-in-class reporting and conduct analytics to drive business decisions. You will lead our efforts in harnessing the power of data analytics to optimize customer funnel conversions, effectively manage credit performance and propel business growth. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in enterprise analytics and reporting with experience in building data infrastructure. They have a passion for solving problems, innovating and collaborating.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Drive best-in-class reporting, analytics and general data support including planning and prioritization of day-to-day tasks and larger projects.
  • Strong background in understanding and integrating data from multiple source systems along with complex data sources such as credit bureau information, cash flow information and multi-funnel operational information.
  • Design and maintain scalable data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Utilize SQL, Python/R, or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Create and manage data visualization dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Domo, and Excel.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Monitor key metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in BI tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and security standards.


An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, etc.).
  • 10+ years’ experience in fintech or financial services data management and analytics.
  • Expert knowledge in Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, including dashboard development and report design.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, GCP, AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
