Underwriting Support Intern- Summer 2025

With the underwriting support internship, you will work with a mentor to learn what underwriting and the basics of commercial lines insurance is. You’ll also learn how underwriting support associates play a vital role in the company’s success. You will also get opportunities to network by attending diverse social events and meeting leadership in multiple areas.

What You’ll Do

Our underwriting support associate internship offers opportunities to:

• Support underwriters by providing information regarding commercial line products, coverages, and systems to effective rate new or renewal business
• May correspond with customers, sales producers, and independent agents to gather and verify information or deliver quotes
• Respond to email and phone inquiries and requests and effectively explain plan details and processing requirements
• May participate in system upgrades and improvement projects

What it Takes

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field
• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00
• Expected graduation of May 2026- May 2027
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
