About us:

Prestige Wine Imports (PWI) is the exclusive importer to USA for a distinguished and diverse portfolio of high-quality Italian wines sourced from leading appellations including Trentino, Sicily, Veneto, Tuscany and Piedmont.


Position Overview:

  • Director National Accounts – Retail for PWI will have Sales management responsibility for building the entire portfolio of PWI products across a defined group of customer accounts.
  • Reports to VP National Accounts - Retail.
  • The role requires at least 40% travel
  • This sales leader will focus on improving performance through:
    • Driving customer sales performance through new distribution and promotional programs.
    • Effectively utilize cross-functional resources (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain).
    • Optimizing promotional budgets and brand investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Growth…Leverage in-market experience and perspective to be a thought-leader in the development of PWI portfolio (brand, product, positioning, price, promotion) in conjunction with the VP of National Accounts - Retail.
  • Retail National Accounts…Develop positive customer relationships that drive incremental business for PWI priority brands.
  • Distributor Management…work collaboratively with PWI VP of Sales team to drive effective execution for distribution and programs.
  • Analytics and Business Intelligence…with internal support, conduct business performance and competitive analyses to ensure critical decisions are well-informed. Track and review results, measure versus plan, and implement necessary changes. Summarize the analysis to internal and external stakeholders.

Performance Measures:

  • Distribution and Volume (depletions), Operating Expense budget
  • Annual distribution goals for targeted customer universe
  • Contributing to a motivated Sales culture
  • Strong 360 feedback (distributors, accounts, cross-functional partners, team members)



Requirements

Preferred Location:

  • Major market within territory with access to significant airport (US Central Territory), eg Chicago, IL
