Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Field Service Specialist!

 

Shell Recharge Solutions is looking for a Field Service Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a member of the Media Technology & Operations team and will work to manage station uptime and the associated remote troubleshooting & fieldwork for commissioning and maintaining our charging and media network. 

 

What you’ll do: The Field Service Specialist serves an essential role not only for Operations, but also to the overall organization. You will report to the manger of service operations. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining a regional network of electric vehicle charging stations, as well as the contractor network that services and installs them. The daily tasks of a field service specialist include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor charging and media station performance and respond to customer reported issues 
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues where possible 
  • Dispatch service work orders to in-house technicians or third-party contractors 
  • Provide real time support for service work being performed in the field 
  • Onboard and manage field contractors for our growing network 
  • Create purchase orders and manage contractor invoices 
  • Update open work orders, inform stakeholders on progress regarding site and station related work, report metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Help commission new stations with technical expertise and on-site dispatch 
  • Maintain relationships with account managers, site hosts and other stakeholders 


What We’re Looking For: 

Basic Qualifications

  • You have experience in managing field work, contractor relationships, or similar project management or customer support work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Good organizational and process management skills.  Ability to work across functional areas within a company to achieve win-win result.
  • Basic MS office suite skills. (Word, excel, powerpoint, and sharepoint)
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task. You thrive in fast-paced, informal, team-focused environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for quality is set high.
  • You are mechanically and technically inclined – you like digging into problems and fixing things.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A background in electrical construction or electrical systems maintenance. 
  • Knowledge and experience with EV charging systems, electrical systems, and/or communications networking.
  • An established track record of managing and delivering multiple simultaneous projects ahead of schedule and adhering to the highest quality and standards.
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform.
  • Working knowledge of charge point management systems and OCPP controls. 
  • Passion for environmental issues and renewable energy.
