Job Description:
The Managing Editor oversees the website and ensures the website growth and continuous development. The Managing Editor is responsible for managing and overseeing the high-quality content within it's niche, strong SEO and a commercial focus.
The Managing Editor of our FinTech website oversees the content of the site and ensures traffic growth and continuous development.
The Managing Editor is primarily responsible for creating and optimising the commercial content, increasing traffic and revenue, and expanding the reach of the website. You will do this by coordinating a number of teams across commercial evergreen, informational evergreen and news content.
Moreover, the Managing Editor will also play a big role in the commercial part of the company growth.The Managing Editor is a specialist in content management, content strategy, content quality checking, content cannibalisation, SEO optimisation and has excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and executing the long-term content strategy for a finance website that has a strong commercial focus on crypto, stocks and iGaming.
- Continuously improve and evolve the website in close collaboration with the SEO Director
- Manage direct reports and editors to efficiently run the website and ensure the content calendar is adhered to.
- Build a sustainable team around the website including; SEO/Content/News/Marketing etc. within web 3, business, investments, personal finance and technology verticals.
- Take ownership of websites commercial content KPIs.
- Create and manage content strategy, ensuring we’re prioritising and producing the right content for each vertical and market, both informational, commercial and news production for each vertical.
- Tracking, reporting, and analysing traffic and commercial performance to make strategy adjustments where necessary and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Assist with content briefing, designing templates, improving pages and writing content as needed. We want someone who leads by example and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
- Lead new growth projects and initiatives to grow the website beyond organic search. We have substantial newsletter database and social media followers just waiting for someone creative to leverage them.
Preferred Experience:
- Min 3 yrs in a similar role within FinTech/Crypto verticals
- Strong News, Informational and Commercial content experience
- Self starter, fast-paced and diligent
- WFH or remote working experience
