Position Summary:

The Vice President, Strategy position serves as a senior leadership role within the Strategy team by delivering high-quality work for our life science industry clients and facilitating growth of department and agency capabilities, skills, processes and approaches to enhance our offerings in the marketplace. You will also bring a broad understanding of marketplace needs, a demonstrated grasp of opportunities that can grow agency capabilities and an understanding of the changing needs of clients and the industry. You will report to the SVP, Strategy and this is a remote role.

You will:

  • Lead evolution and innovation: Facilitate and develop new approaches, ideas, and services; lead internal improvements to processes so that we are optimizing the quality and efficiency of our work; motivate and mentor others in the department and agency to enhance quality, creativity and innovative thinking
  • Staff growth: Planning and promoting employee growth according to individual skills and agency/market needs
  • Thought leadership: Serve as a go-to subject matter expert for a strategic point-of-view on a specific client challenges or marketplace dynamics
  • Strategic decision-making: Make evidence-based decisions that balance business needs; invite challenging viewpoints to improve decision-making; make decisions with sometimes incomplete information; lead discussions between our teams and resolve conflict when needed
  • Influence and alignment: Explain ideas, partner with our teams to gain support and agreement on core ideas/approaches
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Facilitate alignment and decision-making across disciplines to ensure highest quality offerings to clients
  • Leadership in new business: In addition to acting as strategic lead for select new business pitches, also can act in consultative manner early on in the new business process, asking questions to uncover client needs and information needed to develop solutions

You will bring:

  • Minimum 10 years total business experience is required
  • 5+ years in healthcare marketing or communications agency experience is required, with demonstrated career progress focused on expanding engagement and driving innovation
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
  • Experience developing successful healthcare marketing strategies and execution plans is required. Previous experience with launch brands in novel therapeutic areas is a plus.
  • Digital marketing expertise with a focus on leveraging user insights, developing strategies into a digital tactical plan and implementing in a multi-platform ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Must be able to present marketing and strategic plans to important client decision makers
  • Demonstrated leadership in a collaborative environment

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations.
