LastPass is looking for a Staff Payments Strategy & Operations:

LastPass is seeking a highly motivated Staff Payments Strategy & Operations to lead our payments strategy and operations. You will oversee e-commerce payment processes, ensuring seamless transactions, optimizing success rates, and reducing payment friction for customers.

Who will you work with?

You will collaborate with marketing, finance, product management, engineering, legal, customer support, and customer success teams. These teams will rely on your expertise to guide payment requirements and implement payment strategies.

 What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Payments Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive payments strategy to enhance success rates, reduce payment issues, and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Payment Operations: Oversee payment processing, fraud prevention, and chargeback management. Ensure accurate transactions and collaborate with finance for seamless payment reconciliation.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payment service providers, financial institutions, and third-party vendors. Enhance payment processing capabilities and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Data Analysis: Use data-driven insights to identify payment trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to reduce churn by improving success rates.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to payment regulations and industry standards. Implement robust security measures to protect customer data and financial transactions.
  • Customer Payment Experience: Work with product management, engineering, and user experience teams to optimize the payment experience, reduce friction, and improve ease of payment.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Set KPIs and regularly report on payment success rates, transaction performance, and key metrics to senior management.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging payment technologies to drive innovation and enhance payment processes.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Proven experience in payment operations, preferably in a subscription-based business or the payments industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processing, fraud prevention, and chargeback management.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with payment service providers and financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of payment compliance and security requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

It's great, but not required:

  • Experience with global alternative payment methods.
  • Experience with global business entity strategy.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $88,000 in the lowest geographic market and up to $104,250 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
