Our CareLink platform enables healthcare and community organizations to coordinate care for populations challenged with health-related social needs. Path Assist is our tech-enabled community health worker program for HRSN utilizing an evidence-based, structured intervention. Our goal is simple: increase health confidence, improve self-efficacy, and reduce inappropriate healthcare spend. 

About the Role:

Are you up to architecting the future practices, delivery and infrastructure for a mission driven health equity company? We are looking to add an exceptional DevOps Engineer to guide our efforts in providing the highest level of reliability and scalability as we expand our health equity platform. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience and a passion for leading and mentoring others in all things DevOps. . As we evolve away from a monolithic Ruby on Rails platform to a Service-Oriented Architecture, we are seeking a thought and practice leader to support the transformation. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining tools that enhance developer productivity, and automation. As well as a deep understanding and commitment to functional security, network and application management, server maintenance, troubleshooting to ensure smooth data flow throughout the organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the day to day activities of the infrastructure team at Activate Care - make technical, architectural and project management decisions to delight your internal customers so that our clients get the social services they need
  • Work closely with the security team to ensure our sensitive client and customer data entrusted to us is safe and secure
  • Coach and mentor the  infrastructure team members and engineers in building more scalable and secure infrastructure and becoming better engineers.
  • Prepare for rapid future company growth by building and working to a roadmap that ensures our infrastructure won’t crumble as we sign new customers
  • Work effectively and collaboratively  with colleagues with all sorts of backgrounds, from engineers to specialists in public health
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 6+ Years Experience in a DevOps role
  • Exceptional capabilities with troubleshooting, automation, documentation, Linux administration, networking, AWS security and Infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Strong  communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with CI/CD implementation and tools such as Jenkins
  • Previous experience in internet accessible production systems
  • Programming experience
  • Experience deploying Ruby on Rails and Node/Express 

Desired but not required:

  • Experience working within a Startup
  • Experience with regulatory compliance: HIPAA, HiTrust, SOX
  • Familiar with web application security like OWASP 
  • Previous experience with network breaches or DDoS attacks
  • AWS certifications: Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security, etc
