Your missions

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Teacher Assistant!

The Teacher Assistant will be the main point of contact for students enrolled in the Philadelphia Virtual Academy (PVA) program. This position communicates with students and parents to help them understand the program and maneuver through the PVA system.

The Teacher Assistant will manage a student caseload, monitor student progress, work 1:1 or in small groups to support students academically.

SUMMARY:

  • Location: Remote
  • Schedule: 8:00am -4:00pm
  • Duration: through the '24-'25 school year (working on all student days)
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
  • Supporting 9th-12th grade students

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of web-based programs and apps
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to organizational, system and developmental changes with assistance from supervisor and/or colleagues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree in education or related field
  • Experience as an instructional assistant or teacher preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting computer- and technology-related issues preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI -- Use code 1KG6XN
  • Education Documentation - diploma OR official transcripts from graduate program
