Job description

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a fully remote Claims Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess workers compensation jurisdiction technical claims knowledge in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico or Texas jurisdictions. The Claims Assistant is responsible for assisting Claims Adjusters and claims leadership with many clerical and administrative aspects of claims management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical/administrative support to the workers compensation Claim Adjusters and the claim management team.
  • Process payments and benefits timely and accurately.
  • Follow special handling instructions regarding client-specific processes and procedures.
  • Accurately maintain related claim processing and procedure records.
  • Keep files on current diary system to timely monitor new developments and to follow up on outstanding requests. Respond to all other diary activities.
  • Timely complete medical contacts on appropriate files.
  • Complete assigned projects timely and error-free.



Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related discipline including business administration, finance, management or marketing.
  • Technical claims knowledge in a workers' compensation environment.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, while demonstrating strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
  • Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Spanish Bilingual a plus.
  • Solid collaboration skills – requires the ability to partner with team members, management, and vendors.
  • Intermediate level math and computer skills.



Salary Range:

  • $40,000.00 - $47,000.00 annually
  • Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
  • In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
