Job description

Pyramid Systems is seeking a talented ColdFusion developer who analyzes requirements, conceives solutions and develops software.

  • Analyzes requirements, conceives solutions and develops software, creates and executes test scripts.
  • Debugs finished products to meet the operational needs of the company
  • Utilizes feedback from users and investigates solutions.
  • Repairs bugs and functional shortcomings as they are encountered or in response to changing needs.
  • Incorporates the necessary documentation into each solution so that others can effectively modify the software,
  • Actively participates in the exchange of ideas and learning that enables the company to keep pace with changing technology.
  • Reference knowledge of IBM Mainframe systems that interface with ColdFusion applications.
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Must have 3 – 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining web applications using Adobe ColdFusion.
    • Must have Strong understanding of ColdFusion frameworks
    • Database Management Experience with Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) or similar relational databases.
      • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques.
      • Understanding of database design, normalization, and performance tuning.
    • Mainframe Knowledge Basic knowledge of IBM Mainframe systems and ability to interface ColdFusion applications with mainframe data.
      • Familiarity with COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe technologies is a plus.
    • Cloud Computing Skills Experience with Azure Cloud services
      • Knowledge of cloud architecture, cloud-based application deployment, and cloud security.
    • Agile Methodologies Experience working in agile development teams, including familiarity with Scrum.
    • Web Development Skills Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
      • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
      • Familiarity with other back-end languages and frameworks, such as Java, .NET, or Python, is a plus.
    • Version Control and CI/CD Proficiency with version control systems such as Serena Dimensions.
      • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
    Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications

    • ColdFusion Certification or relevant certifications in web development.
    • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate).
