The role is responsible for generating, maintaining and developing revenue growth in our Health and Safety faculty business, via our ClickHSE LMS product. The role is pivotal in ensuring our ambitious growth targets are achieved by building, maintaining and growing strong and positive relationships with both new and existing business customers. The Commercial Director role will be hands-on and will work with customers of all sizes from SME to Enterprise to maximise across a diverse range of sectors to ensure both revenue growth and account longevity.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing our data model and reporting suite.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

  • Own the Go To Market strategy, plan and spend ensuring we have high quality leads.
  • Drive marketing campaigns, implementing the HSC business strategy for growth.
  • Optimise the marketing spend to ensure the spend is delivering quality growth.
  • Increase the renewal rate of existing customers by implementing a renewal strategy that secures customers through exceptional service.
  • Drive new business growth through your own contribution, the team contribution and through innovative and creative marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the day-to-day sales operations of the HSC faculty ensuring inbound and outbound conversion goals and revenue targets are met.
  • Ensure the efficient handling of all customer enquiries in the funnel.
  • Create, monitor, manage and optimise pipeline and conversion rates to ensure sales targets are met.

Leadership And Management

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing B2B sales team, starting with one direct report.
  • Grow the team supporting new joiners and ensuring we have sufficient bandwidth to deliver the business growth strategy.
  • Set KPIs and performance metrics and give regular feedback on individuals performance.
  • Lead by example and foster a strong sales focussed environment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive product innovation, delivering a product roadmap that delivers industry-leading products driven by customer demand.
  • Establish a pipeline of product improvements that will cement existing customers and drives demand from new customers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the HSC faculty operations.
  • Utilise third party platforms, automation and innovation to enhance product efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve systemic issues to resolve root cause issues.

Customer Experience

  • Use a consultative approach to maximise account revenue potential through all stages of funnel.
  • Champion a customer-centric culture throughout the faculty and wider business.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality customer interactions across all touchpoints.
  • Develop programs to enhance customer onboarding, growth, engagement and long term account retention.

Reporting And Analysis

  • Prepare, maintain and present accurate reports and forecasts on financial performance of the HSC faculty to help inform and direct future business decisions.
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell of products and services.
  • Develop customer action plans and product roadmaps based on data insights and track progress against goals.

What We Are Looking For In You

  • Proven experience in a senior B2B consultative sales management role
  • Experience in a B2B eLearning environment.
  • Proven track record in delivery of £1m ARR growth.
  • Proven experience in managing P&L.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in SaaS software sales and CRM systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to provide accurate financial forecasts and interpret data/metrics.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Degree level educated or relevant equivalent business experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

The salary range for this role is £60,000 to £70,000 per annum, with additional on target earnings subject to hitting KPIs/targets.
