OVERVIEW

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join one of our delivery teams in the capacity of Team Lead. The Team Leads reports into the Team Manager and has a number of direct reports.

We are looking for candidates based ideally in Barcelona and able to go into the office at least twice a week. Candidates based in other Spain locations may also be considered.

Aiming to ensure top-notch deliveries to our clients using optimal and streamlined processes and procedures, the successful applicant will be a key role in setting up projects and procedures, managing project managers and contributing directly to the company’s success.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading a team of project managers providing linguistic services, such as localisation, transcreation, website translation, MT post editing, online validation to our clients.
  • Providing leadership and supervising team members on creating project plans and cost estimates as well as on managing budgets.
  • Assisting the team manager on forecasting and analysing revenue trends for key accounts.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction by forging and maintaining relationships.
  • Regular one-to-one chats & client-related internal meetings.
  • Managing team workload and delegating tasks.
  • Mentoring and training new team members.
  • Creating development plans and goals to help develop team members’ skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to decision-making when it comes to internal processes, ensuring our technology remains current.


Requirements

SKILLS

  • Experience with managing a team of 3 or more members
  • Knowledge of the transcreation service and the marketing vertical is a must
  • Can-do attitude, solutions based, with excellent resilience and flexibility
  • Experience in running and in supervising translation and localisation projects and provide escalation as needed
  • Track record in defining/changing/adapting workflows and policies
  • Proven success in client communications plus some account management direct experience
  • Customer experience-focused
  • Ability to travel (e.g. once a quarter)
  • Comfortable both with working independently and as a team
  • Proactive approach to work – bringing ideas and questions to the team, but also implementing solutions and independently progressing open matters as required.
