Part-Time Crisis Center Nursing Coordinator (LPN/RN) - Weekend Shifts with Sign-On Bonus

As a Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric capacity. You will maintain professional nursing standards and actively participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for coordinating care for individuals experiencing behavioral crises. This part-time position requires work on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care including health assessments, pain assessments, vital signs, applying dressings, and daily care for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Conduct all duties of medication administration, including medication pass, injections, and self-administration observation.
• Manage medications by completing and updating the MAR and counting controlled substances.
• Provide patient education regarding physical health and medications.
• Coordinate care with staff, residents, family, physicians, psychiatrists, hospitals, and pharmacies.
• Report and record observable changes in individual behavior, attitudes, and physical conditions.
• Assist staff with various diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Educate new employees about procedures and protocols.
• Participate in team and leadership meetings as assigned.
• Employ effective verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate cognitive, organizational, and emotional abilities to manage multiple stressors and difficult situations.
• Provide direct patient care to adults, including those who may be agitated.
• Participate in mandatory overtime when necessary.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of psychiatric experience; experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
• Current LPN or RN license (valid in MO) required.
