About the AMD - VAR Client Specialist: 

MarketStar is excited to offer an opportunity for an AMD – VAR Client Specialist. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing strategy, building strong relationships, and driving sales within Enterprise and Commercial VARs. You'll provide dedicated support to VAR account managers, helping them achieve revenue targets within the direct VAR partner channels. This position plays a key role in helping AMD meet revenue and market share goals, fostering connections from account managers to executives, and tracking opportunities to ensure successful closures by leveraging the AMD value proposition.

 

Location: US - Remote

 

What Will You Do? 

  • Address pre-sales technical inquiries related to Client devices for VAR account managers and customers.

  • Conduct visits to assigned VARs, as designated by AMD, to strengthen and expand relationships (up to 25% travel required).

  • Encourage VAR sales reps and account managers to prioritize quoting AMD Client device products.

  • Manage and own a pipeline of Client device opportunities within VAR accounts, focusing on revenue growth and identifying key markets and customers.

  • Follow up on AMD Client device bids with VARs to ensure progress and successful outcomes.

  • Consistently achieve AMD revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Utilize available partner resources to maximize closing rates and sales effectiveness.

  • Promote the adoption of VAR partner tools, including online training, bid desks, trade-in programs, value-add promotions, and other sales incentives.

  • Provide timely feedback on the effectiveness of tools and resources as issues arise.

  • Facilitate Client device-sponsored engagements (as permitted) and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Analyze and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual performance to identify strengths, growth opportunities, and trends.

What Will You Need to Succeed? 

  • Five or more years' channel sales experience

  • College degree in business or a related field preferred

  • Two or more years’ experience conducting group presentations or training

  • Solid understanding of distribution and VAR channel and the ability to learn quickly

  •  Time management and organization skills

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills

 The pay for this position is $130,000.00 and is paid annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
