We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job. Increased throughput, decreased downtime, regular Preventive Maintenance, regular upgrades as deemed by Beckman Coulter technical staff. A clear advocate for the customer (internal and external) and a steward for the company.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- A FSE (Field Service Engineer) must have ability to manage a customer account in its entirety, and when accessing an account, determine on where we can add more value by offering other services (i.e. reagents, consumables, additional or new equipment leads, service on non‐agreement instruments, etc.).
- Drives a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and with an emphasis on a “first time fix”.
- Ability to cultivate customer relationships measured by the attainment of revenue goal by individual and their District. This includes annual growth of Field Service Maintenance Agreements monthly base billing and the support of sales initiatives through lead generation. Achieve annual revenue target with expected year‐over‐year growth of 8‐10%
The required qualifications for the job include:
- Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, biological science or military equivalent.
- 1 year of computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, Sales Force, ServiceMax) as well as Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- 1 year of troubleshooting skills and ability to use documentation for the purposes of troubleshooting.
It would be a plus if you also possess the following previous experience:
• 2 + years of prior field service experience in related field is preferred or military equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in a science discipline, Flow Cytometry, and/or Automation.
• Inventory Management, including but not limited to cycle counts updating car stock and returning aging inventory.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Local travel is required for this role daily. Ability to travel overnight 40‐50% of the time. Territory includes all New England, upstate New York as well as Quebec, a portion of Ontario, and Maritimes.
- A valid passport or equivalent for travel into Canada
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
