Senior Mainframe Developer

Description:

• Knowledge acquisition: learn assigned product to smallest details, become an expert in the product;
• Work as part of a team in a mainframe environment;
• Cooperate with 1st tier support on resolving issues;

Requirements:

• Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization;
• Maintain the developed software efficiently through a solid knowledge of the software lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.

Preferences:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the following technologies: PL/1 and Assembler
• Problem-solving and debugging
• The advantage to candidates with hands-on: MVS & z/OS, JCL, IBM IMS, DB2 and С
• Ability to work effectively in a team and with international clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, modify, and implement software changes from functional and system design specifications;
• Review, evaluate, and analyze software design and specifications;
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if the application fits specifications and technical requirements;
• Identify and fix bugs, and device solutions to the problems.

Description: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely and the salary range will be $130,000/yr to $140,000/yr and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
