Lead Software Engineer.

Job Summary

Cognizant is looking for an expert and innovative Lead Software Engineer with extensive experience in Java and AWS to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting-edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. Responsibilities

  • Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based applications using Java Spring Boot and AWS services
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS services with existing systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud-based applications
  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS services and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools and is a very good Team player, able to converse and share knowledge with peers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies
  • Thorough knowledge of Java, Spring Boot
  • Experience with Relational Databases, SQL, PL/SQL and ORM technologies
  • Experience in Cloud native development using AWS Lambda, ECS, Event Handlers, SQS and AWS API Gateway
  • Experience in Terraform scripting (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Nice to have skill on Dockers.
  • Experience in CI/CD using GitHub, Jenkins.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 103,821– $ 187,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
