Cloud SRE Engineer

Our client is on the hunt for a Cloud SRE Engineer, ideally with experience in Snowflake, Streamsets, dbt, Immuta and/or Azure. However, if your security and cloud fundamentals are robust, specific tool experience is not essential. This role offers an initial 6-month contract.

What You'll Do

As a Cloud SRE Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's cloud-based services. You'll tackle challenging technical issues, automate routine tasks, and contribute to system design discussions. Your collaborative nature will shine as you work alongside your team to establish best practices and performance standards. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills by participating in incident response and post-mortem analysis.

• You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and operability of services.
• Your role will involve troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• You will be expected to automate routine tasks using scripts and scheduling tools.
• You will contribute to system design consultations.
• You will collaborate with other team members to develop best practices and service performance standards.

In this Cloud SRE Engineer role, your proven experience in a similar position will be invaluable. Your knowledge of tools such as Snowflake, Streamsets, dbt, Immuta and/or Azure will be put to good use, but it's your strong understanding of security principles and cloud fundamentals that truly sets you apart. Your ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues will be frequently called upon, as will your experience with scripting languages and automation tools. Above all else, your excellent collaboration skills will make you a perfect fit for this team-oriented role.

• Proven experience as a Cloud SRE Engineer or similar role is required.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Streamsets, dbt, Immuta and/or Azure would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of security principles and cloud fundamentals is essential.
• Experience with scripting languages and automation tools is necessary.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues is required.
