Avalara is looking for an extraordinary talent to innovate, design, and scale our Workday Integrations, processes and architecture serving both internal and external business partners. This hands-on technical role demands design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the People Technology infrastructure business processes and operations and network-based (cloud) product systems. Preferred candidates will have experience designing, developing, and launching scalable Workday security solutions that adhere to SOX and industry privacy standards.

  • Must have 5+ years' of experience with Workday**
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, support, enhance back-end integration solutions seamlessly to connect Avalara enterprise systems
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday related integrations
  • Perform system monitoring of all our Workday Inbound/Outbound integrations to various subsystems
  • Review business/functional requirement documents, author technical design documents, and produce high quality integrations that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, IT, Facilities, and other groups to streamline and automate data delivery and synchronization among enterprise applications


What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 5-7 years working experience in Workday integrations, Workday Studio, Web Services, SOAP, REST API, SQL, and system integration development
  • BS degree in CS, CE, EE, MIS, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday technologies - Web Service Application Program Interface (APIs), Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Report Writer, Cloud Connect, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, XSLT
  • Experience with Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) suite - Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent, Absence Management, Recruiting, Performance Management
  • Experience with SOX principles and concepts
