What You'll Do
The Innovate Team, part of CCO Business Excellence, is looking for an Automation Engineer with expertise in DB and Data Structure. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and BPI leads from several teams within CCO, and Engineering and Product teams at Avalara. The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement automation workflows and bots, providing end-to-end automation solutions for a diverse range of processes across CCO.
What You'll Need to be Successful
- Deliver successful process automations using DB knowledge & Data structures solution.
- Monitor and work with Business Analysts and BPI Leads to understand the functional and technical design of new automations.
- Develop new processes that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
- Ensure quality of coded components by performing unit testing.
- Work with test teams during the Product test and User Acceptance Testing phases to fix assigned bugs.
About The Team
- You should have 3 years of experience with any programming language, DB knowledge & Data structures
- You should have 1 year of experience in AWS EC2 environment for automation deployment
- 1 year of experience in Intelligent OCR
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
- Experience with Macro/VBA or Python
- Independently determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate with other personnel; management skills
- Experience with complex Data Structure, requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors and the use of automation tools, methods, and techniques
- Ability to network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
- Experience translating requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
- Deliver pragmatic business and operational design solutions that maximise benefits while achieving desired outcomes
