Experienced Legal Transcription Contractor

As legal and judicial agencies move towards a technology-driven workflow, our company is a leader in providing transcription services across various industries. We are seeking experienced legal/judicial contract candidates with significant experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This opportunity is 100% remote for independent contractors.

In this role, you will handle audio recordings related to depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. A strong focus on detail is essential, along with familiarity with legal terminology and exceptional grammar. You will strictly adhere to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to set your own schedule while receiving support from our dedicated in-office team whenever needed. We offer work around the clock to fit any schedule, and those with weekend availability are encouraged to apply.

Skills

• Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
• Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
• Ability to collaborate remotely.
• Typing proficiency with speed and accuracy.
• Capability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Court reporting students will also be considered.
