Description

As legal and judicial agencies move towards a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions stands out as a leader in providing transcription services across various industries. We are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates who possess a significant background in transcribing depositions and hearings. This opportunity is 100% remote for Independent Contractors.

The work involves transcribing audio recordings related to depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with intense attention to detail, a firm grasp of legal terminology, and excellent grammar. You will be responsible for processing these recordings while strictly adhering to specific style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

Skills And Requirements

  • Experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is required.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
  • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely.
  • Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to process sensitive audio/text content (may be offensive).
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Court reporting students will also be considered.
  • Note: Currently, this opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
