We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Legal - Claims and Insurance Contractor. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in claims and litigation management, including those with backgrounds as Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Claims Specialists, or Contract Specialists.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex rules and regulations effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, data entry, and database management.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a Bachelor's degree and over 3 years of experience in claims and litigation management (including employment practices, general liability, auto, property, and medical malpractice).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage claims across various categories, including professional liability, auto, general liability, and workers' compensation.
  • Act as the primary contact for insurance matters, including handling claims and policy renewals.
  • Conduct investigations, assess coverage, evaluate liability, and oversee claim settlements.
  • Collaborate with third-party administrators and consultants.
  • Report on claim trends, make presentations, and suggest policy changes.
  • Support license renewals and property tax exemptions.
  • Manage the archiving system and assist with Risk Management policies.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and promptly report any data breaches.
  • Complete special projects and perform other assigned duties as needed.
