Senior Litigation Adjuster - Auto Insurance Claims

Responsibilities

• Handle a range of complex and straightforward auto claims during the pre-litigation or early litigation stages, focusing primarily on third-party automobile claims.
• Negotiate and settle attorney-represented claims efficiently and effectively.
• Assess coverage issues with a deep understanding of policy details and relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage an inventory of legal files and prioritize high-profile cases for close attention.
• Draft coverage position letters and other correspondence as necessary.
• Control claim costs and expenses to ensure efficiency.
• Collaborate with Legal and Claims Departments to determine liability and appropriate settlements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Respond to inquiries from attorneys, regulatory bodies, producers, and consumers.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 4 years of experience in auto insurance claims.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a proactive approach to following up on challenging claims.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to expedite claims and exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of auto claims regulations, judicial decisions, and relevant laws.
• Proficient in oral and written communication, with a commitment to open dialogue.
• Claim adjuster license(s) are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
