About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional support and expertise for a range of retirement plans.
  • Manage compliance tasks related to ERISA retirement plans and ensure all plans meet IRS and DOL regulations.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with plan sponsors, advisors, and investment providers.
  • Coordinate with investment providers, plan sponsors, participants, and advisors to address their needs and consult on regulatory, operational, and service aspects of retirement plans.
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Support plan sponsors during IRS audits or DOL investigations.
  • Monitor ERISA plan documents to ensure adherence to rules and regulations.
  • Participate in and facilitate team, department, and company training sessions.
  • Achieve and maintain QKA certification within one year of starting, and uphold the designation thereafter.
  • Contribute positively to the team environment and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in all areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Vice President.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MEP and PEP plans is required.
  • Excellent customer relations skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
  • Strong understanding of cash balance plans and the ability to provide advice on related topics.
  • Clear communication skills for interacting with actuary partners and clients.
  • Knowledge of the PBGC process is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with a well-organized approach to responsibilities.
  • A personable, motivated, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Professional and articulate in both verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Understanding and interpretation of IRS and DOL regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in retirement plan administration is required.
  • QPA Credential is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the employee to be seated for most of the workday.
