Description

Are you a skilled paralegal with a passion for intellectual property law? We are seeking a dedicated paralegal to join our dynamic IP litigation team. This role offers flexibility to work remotely, either part-time or full-time, based on your availability and preference.

As a paralegal, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our talented team of IP litigators, primarily assisting with federal court litigation, including document management, client communication, and case coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • File documents with various federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules.
  • Proofread and format documents for filing or service in different jurisdictions.
  • Draft simple documents like proposed orders and notice of motions.
  • Manage case files, including electronic and physical documents, correspondence, and exhibits.
  • Oversee document production, including e-discovery, and ensure adherence to court deadlines.
  • Coordinate with court reporters, process servers, and other third-party services.
  • Maintain and update the case management database, tracking deadlines and schedules.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with a focus on federal US district courts.
  • Experience in intellectual property litigation is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable navigating and understanding local rules for various federal jurisdictions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Intellectual property experience is a plus.
  • Open to part-time or full-time work; part-time can transition to full-time after 3 months.

Salary And Benefits

  • Part-time: $30-40/hour (depending on experience).
  • Full-time: \(65,000 - \)85,000/year (depending on experience).

Additional Information

  • 100% remote role. You must have a stable internet connection.
  • For part-time roles, a minimum commitment of 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm (Pacific Time) is required.
