About The Role

As an Advisor Application Designer specializing in SQL Server, Oracle, and Business Intelligence, you will play a key role in utilizing technology to help clients improve healthcare outcomes. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about data and technology, combining technical expertise with a mission to address some of healthcare's most significant challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support analytics, report design, and data integration processes vital to Data Analytics services.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop critical reports, perform research, and design data specifications.
  • Create mapping documents and implement feedback from stakeholders, team leaders, clients, and vendors.
  • Provide suggestions on improving current operational processes and practices.
  • Work closely with analysts and engineers to deploy solutions in both batch and real-time environments while tracking model performance.
  • Build complex datasets and workflows from multiple sources using SQL, Python, Spark, and SSRS.
  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, making data accessible to all.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders to discuss opportunities for business growth and improvements.
  • Champion the use of analytics across the organization, driving innovation and adoption.
  • Support the design, development, and testing of machine learning (ML) models to enhance healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 9+ years of experience with SQL Server and MS-SQL scripting, along with expertise in Oracle, MongoDB, and Vertica DB.
  • Experience working with medical, institutional, and pharmacy claim data (HEDIS, ECQM, First Data Bank).
  • Proven track record in supporting complex data science projects from concept to production.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Databricks) for sharing insights.
  • Hands-on experience in the healthcare industry, working in SQL, Python, R, and SAS environments, particularly within cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
  • 3+ years of industry experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, developing ML models with tangible business impacts.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Redshift.

Additional Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or another quantitative field.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience leading meetings with diverse stakeholders (clients, product teams, and data teams).
  • Experience using Databricks solutions within cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
  • Ability to enhance reporting and analysis solutions, leveraging complex data sources from various systems.

  • Occasional travel opportunities (up to 10%).
  • Flexible schedule required to meet business needs, with a focus on Eastern Time Zone availability.
