Are you a passionate Database Administrator ready to make an impact from anywhere? This dynamic remote role offers you the chance to work with a leading team! We're looking for a dedicated DBA to join us ASAP for a long-term contract opportunity. Responsibilities

  • Database Management: Oversee and manage Redshift clusters and handle user administration requests.
  • Support & Development: Assist the development team with telemetry tasks and support their needs.
  • Automation: Utilize Python and Jenkins for automation tasks to streamline processes.
  • Stand-Ups: Participate in stand-up meetings to discuss tickets and project progress.
  • Environment Handling: Work with columnar databases like Vertica and be open to working in varied environments.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in database administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Redshift, S3, EC2, and Redshift security.
  • Programming: Knowledge of Python for automation tasks.
  • Soft Skills: Eagerness to learn, a proactive attitude, and a drive to expand your skill set. Enthusiasm and the ability to bring fresh perspectives are highly valued!

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Snowflake or other columnar databases is a plus.
