Responsibilities

  • Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance by auditing static analysis, defect analysis, and other measures as per MDA Software Assurance Policy.
  • Review and explain defects, providing solutions to both technical and managerial audiences.
  • Make recommendations on managing and setting thresholds for actual findings versus false positives.
  • Perform compliance and research in software assurance, including software source code and binary executable auditing.
  • Collaborate with MDA / DE Government PM, ISSM, cyber assurance staff, and senior management on software assurance tasks.
  • Gather software analysis artifacts from various tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze reports of identified issues within cybersecurity guidelines to determine mitigations.
  • Conduct research on emerging software assurance tools, providing detailed reports on capabilities.
  • Examine potential security violations to ascertain breaches and respond according to the Incident Response Plan.
  • Attend software assurance working group meetings and briefings as necessary.
  • Update procedures and RMF documentation to meet A&A requirements.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • HS Diploma (or GED) with 4 years of general experience
    • Associate's degree with 2 years of general experience
    • Bachelor's degree with 0 years of general experience
  • At least 2 years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Desired Requirements

  • Experience with C, C++, C#, .NET, or Java.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and DoD STIGs.
  • Experience working with Government Cyber personnel to advise on software assurance levels.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Understanding of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) notices.
  • Experience generating Threat Detection & Vulnerability Assessment reports.

Compensation

This position is expected to pay between \(92,300 - \)117,300 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
