Description

In this crucial role, you will play a key part in protecting our organization's digital assets while leading a talented team of security specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive IT security program that aligns with industry best practices and security frameworks.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new features and products to enhance our security measures.
  • Lead a team of security specialists in monitoring, investigating, and responding to security events and incidents.
  • Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Manage our Cybersecurity Awareness Training program, including annual training, phishing simulations, and monthly updates.
  • Oversee vulnerability penetration testing and remediation, including regulatory audits.
  • Report security metrics, trends, and incidents to senior management.
  • Set and achieve goals for your team, focusing on both operational and strategic outcomes.
  • Stay updated on current trends, laws, and issues related to cybersecurity.
  • Engage with clients to address security questions and concerns.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with third-party vendors for cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
  • Over 5 years in an Information Security leadership role with team management experience.
  • CISSP or equivalent security certification.
  • Strong knowledge of current cyber threats, regulatory frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP), and security technologies.
  • Experience with NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), NERC CIP, or similar frameworks.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven ability to evaluate cybersecurity metrics and make informed decisions balancing risks.
  • Skilled in translating technical information into business language and vice versa.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on business value and a broad organizational perspective.
