We are seeking a skilled Paralegal with a passion for litigation to join our dynamic team in Downtown Albuquerque. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and refine discovery documents and other legal materials.
  • Organize and maintain files with precision.
  • Proofread documents for content accuracy, format, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Review, summarize, and index case documents for quick reference.
  • Manage case calendars to ensure deadlines are always met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other contacts, both verbally and in writing.
  • Conduct factual research to support ongoing cases.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including compiling notebooks and exhibits.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong experience in requesting medical records and preparing detailed medical summaries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • A solid understanding of legal terminology and New Mexico court rules & procedures.
  • Ability to gather and organize information related to active cases, including witness identification and affidavit acquisition.
  • Exceptional proofreading and word processing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Document Management Software is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation: \(30 - \)34 per hour (dependent on experience).
  • A vibrant, centrally located office in Downtown Albuquerque.
  • A non-remote, contract-to-hire position with a Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm schedule.
