Description

This position involves a critical role in enhancing workplace communication and marketing strategies. You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated communication professionals, driving strategic initiatives that elevate employee engagement and improve communications processes and technologies. Your efforts will ensure that the communication program aligns with both client and organizational goals while remaining compliant with language requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the communication strategy focusing on employee engagement, talent marketing, HR communications, and language compliance.
  • Shape multi-channel communication tactics (email, video, etc.) to ensure engaging messaging.
  • Set annual goals and key performance indicators for the communication program and track progress using data-driven insights.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to foster growth and enhance skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, etc.) to align communication strategies with business objectives and company values.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal communications, ensuring clear, timely messaging across platforms.
  • Manage internal storytelling programs to highlight impactful employee stories, contributing to a positive culture.
  • Develop engaging video content to support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Explore and implement new digital platforms to enhance communication reach and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with language requirements by coordinating with translation vendors.
  • Continuous improvement of communication strategies by identifying process efficiencies and adopting new technologies.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership for the communication team and broader business initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

You will provide formal supervision to a team, offering mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback. You will lead by example and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in communications, preferably internal or employee communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of simplifying complex ideas and engaging audiences effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive communication strategies that align with business goals and enhance employee engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing change communications in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical mindset to interpret data and refine communication strategies based on feedback.
  • Experience developing creative messaging for diverse audiences and communication channels.
  • Passion for storytelling and using innovative communication tools and strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle competing priorities.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year university in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including management experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent presentation skills with clear communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex information and create concise content.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate knowledge of SharePoint and Smartsheet.
  • Data visualization skills preferred for clear and compelling data presentation.

Other Information

This role offers an annual salary range of \(90,000 - \)115,000 based on skills and experience, along with eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
