The Team And Job Summary
We are looking for passionate new team members to join our Forensic Accounting - Insurance Services division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, entrepreneurial individual with a versatile skill set. In this role, you will go beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, requiring both a solid understanding of insurance accounting and the flexibility to handle diverse tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and assess large loss commercial insurance claims, including property damage, product recall, liability, theft/fidelity, and business interruption/lost profits, across various industries.
- Evaluate detailed financial statements and data (revenue and expense statements, forecasts, budgets, production reports) to deliver comprehensive analyses.
- Analyze Excel schedules with financial information to measure business interruption, inventory, extra expenses, and property damage losses.
- Develop projection models by analyzing revenue and expenses.
- Communicate analysis results to supervisors and clients effectively.
- Prepare written reports and narratives for client communication.
- Participate in client meetings (telephone, online, or in-person) and present findings to clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting or a closely related field.
- CPA certification.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in forensic accounting and/or measuring commercial insurance claim losses.
Physical And Mental Job Qualifications
- Ability to travel as necessary.
