Your missions

Description

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of key data elements within our clinical and financial databases. You will be responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and presenting data in various formats to support both operational and financial decision-making processes. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will understand their data needs and deliver timely, accurate reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Identify and utilize appropriate data sources to generate routine monthly reports and respond to special data requests. Present statistical and financial information using graphical and other presentation formats tailored to stakeholders’ needs.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work proactively with internal client groups to evaluate needs, clarify requirements, and deliver data-driven insights. Communicate effectively to resolve issues promptly and contribute positively in meetings and team discussions.
  • Mentorship & Team Support: Serve as a mentor to junior team members, offering guidance and support to foster their professional growth and success.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly evaluate the accuracy of key data elements in financial systems, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
  • Financial Stewardship: Analyze variances from audits and other reports, recommend corrective actions, and use resources efficiently to demonstrate responsible financial management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about changes in reporting processes that may affect data integrity, proactively solve problems, and manage your own professional development through continuous learning and completing development plans.
  • Innovation & Special Projects: Recommend, coordinate, and lead special projects that address emerging issues or opportunities relevant to the organization’s goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in budget or cost accounting and analysis; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify data discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in data management across various applications and a solid understanding of accounting, budgeting, and data analysis principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and positive language.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working effectively in a remote or virtual setting, using remote applications when needed.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial and non-financial systems.

Work Environment & Additional Requirements

  • Work Attire: Business professional.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within and outside the Houston metropolitan area may be required.
  • On-Call Status: Not typically required, but may be needed during emergencies (e.g., disasters, severe weather events).
