Position Overview

As a Remote Bilingual Special Education Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional growth of our diverse students. You will work virtually, collaborating with educators, parents, and students to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your expertise in special education and bilingualism will be key in assessing students’ needs, providing personalized instruction, and promoting their overall development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver remote instruction and support to students with special needs who require bilingual services.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and specialized instruction.
  • Provide virtual support and accommodations to help students overcome learning challenges.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to effective intervention strategies.
  • Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to support their child's educational journey.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in bilingual special education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education with a bilingual endorsement or certification.
  • Minnesota Special Education teaching licensure or the ability to obtain it.
  • Strong virtual communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students with diverse needs succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a remote teaching environment.
