Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with established curriculum and learning objectives.
• Instruction: Provide both theoretical and practical instruction in areas such as nail care, nail art, manicure techniques, and salon sanitation.
• Demonstration: Model proper techniques, safety practices, and industry standards in manicuring.
• Learning Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement, participation, and growth.
• Hands-On Guidance: Supervise students during practical sessions, offering hands-on guidance and support.
• Assessment: Evaluate student progress through examinations, projects, and practical assessments, offering constructive feedback to aid their development.
• Student Support: Identify and address individual learning needs, offering additional support to students who require it.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and new techniques in manicuring to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
• Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and role model, inspiring students as they embark on their journey in the manicuring industry.
• Collaboration: Work with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, program enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Manicurist or Cosmetology license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing manicurist.
• Prior teaching or training experience, especially in manicuring or cosmetology education, is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of manicuring principles, practices, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and techniques to students.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for educating and mentoring aspiring manicurists.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in instructional technology and the use of multimedia resources in teaching.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects diversity and promotes student success.

Hours and Availability

Day and evening positions available, including opportunities for a partial work-from-home/remote schedule.
