Your missions

Description

We are looking for passionate and experienced Online Adjunct Instructors to join our Nurse Practitioner Program. As an instructor, you will guide and inspire future nurse practitioners, fostering their academic and clinical success in a supportive, online environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate course instruction based on established curriculum, helping students achieve their learning objectives.
  • Engage and guide students in discussions and course-related workgroups, promoting active participation.
  • Host virtual office hours using conferencing tools to offer students additional support.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments and assessments.
  • For practicum courses: maintain communication with students' preceptors, verify student hours, and review clinical tracking notes.

Qualifications We're Looking For

  • Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with current practice experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a licensed NP (graduate school experience not applicable).
  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with an active, unencumbered license.
  • Strong commitment to student success, with the ability to mentor and support learners in achieving their academic goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure or willingness to obtain licensure in the following states: California, Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Washington.
  • Experience using online learning platforms like Canvas or similar.

Additional Information

  • Adjunct Instructors will receive training on our learning management system (LMS) and are expected to complete an online, self-paced course on online teaching techniques and student engagement strategies.
  • Employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a background check.
  • Applicants must hold licensure in one of the following states to be considered: California, Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Washington.
