Your missions

Description

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Learning Technology Manager to join our Learning and Innovation team. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing and integrating learning technologies, collaborating closely with learning design and academic teams to enhance the experience for both students and instructors. Your expertise in learning technology will be key in ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of our educational community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with learning design and academic teams to understand their needs and align our technology solutions accordingly.
  • Technology Leadership: Act as a thought leader in learning technology, guiding teams in the effective use and integration of these tools.
  • Technical Planning: Translate educational needs into detailed technical plans and specifications.
  • Consulting Partnership: Partner with assigned learning technology consultants to achieve project goals.
  • Technology Implementation: Manage the deployment and integration of learning technology solutions to enhance the educational experience.
  • Stay Updated: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of features and updates while leveraging this knowledge for our technology strategies.
  • Expertise and Leadership: Serve as a respected leader and subject matter expert in learning technologies, including Brightspace.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Communication and Alignment: Oversee strategic alignment of communications regarding instructional technology. Collaborate with academic leaders to sync our teaching and learning roadmap with the features roadmap.
  • Project Management: Ensure that detailed specifications are delivered for proposed solutions, manage configurations, and document team processes. Lead project management efforts to implement solutions aligned with strategic goals.
  • Challenge Management: Proactively address potential project challenges and manage communications across departments and organizations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience with relevant industry certifications.
  • 5-7 years of experience in administering, designing, and configuring environments, ideally in higher education settings.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design best practices.
  • Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with system reports, configurations, integrations, and regression testing.
  • Proficient technical writing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Functional knowledge of HTML, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Experience with LCMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.
  • Proficient in utilizing communication channels to support innovative solutions.
  • Strong skills in identifying risks and opportunities, and conducting root cause analysis.
