We are a membership-based veterinary care provider dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for pets, pet parents, and veterinarians alike. Our approach features a membership model that includes top-notch services, 24⁄7 telemedicine, and transparent pricing—all in a stress-free environment designed by animal experts. Since our flagship location opened in Manhattan’s West Village in 2020, we've rapidly expanded across the East Coast, with locations now in New York City, Boston, Washington D.C., and Maryland, and we have exciting plans for further growth in 2024.

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Telehealth Veterinary Nurse to provide remote support to our members via chat and phone. This position is fully remote and reports directly to the Telehealth Manager. To ensure comprehensive coverage for our members, all Telehealth Nurses will have a fixed schedule, which we ask you to commit to for at least one year.

Shift Requirements

  • Saturdays: 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Sundays: 3 PM - 10 PM
  • Open availability for three shifts per week between 7 AM - 5 PM
  • Willingness to assist with overnight coverage is a plus!

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with members through text-based chat and phone communications to provide telehealth services and support.
  • Deliver an exceptional member experience by conveying empathy and warmth in all interactions.
  • Independently manage and resolve tasks while adhering to high-quality standards and deadlines.
  • Collaborate continually with both virtual and in-practice team members through regular communication and monthly meetings.
  • Utilize your clinical training to offer personalized virtual care to our patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of communications.
  • Master our internal systems and tools to consistently provide outstanding care while meeting quality and productivity goals.
  • Keep an in-depth understanding of our memberships, services, and perks.
  • Lead by example, embodying our commitment to exceptional member experiences.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or Veterinary Assistant.
  • You possess the ability to triage and recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
  • You thrive in a startup environment and are excited about breaking tradition.
  • You are a problem-solving self-starter who can work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • You have a customer service mindset and demonstrate high levels of empathy and compassion.
  • You are tech-savvy and comfortable with online tools (G Suite, Slack, Intercom, or other CRM platforms).
  • You are flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Most importantly, you have a passion for animals, especially cats and dogs!
