A Day in the Life

The Physician Relations team is looking for a Senior Program Manager who will play a pivotal role in supporting the Surgical Organization through the strategic development of Key Opinion Leader (KOL) partnerships, delivering physician advisory board initiatives, and leading surgeon engagement activities within our focused surgical societies.

This role will work collaboratively across all business functions strategically aligning these key customer relationships and engagements with our business objectives.

This role is open to remote within the United States for well qualified candidates. Global travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops, maintains, and enhances the company's image with thought leaders/high profile individuals and/or groups.
  • Represent the Surgical Organization as a key contact with physician consultants, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizes company-sponsored symposia for consultant and advisory board meetings.
  • Develops, fosters and maintain key customer relationships with healthcare professionals, aligning their key interests and expertise with our engagement opportunities.
  • Drives engagement with surgical and medical society organizations strategically aligned with the business to increase market access and development opportunities and to aid in the education of other healthcare professionals..
  • Develops concepts and aligns programs with market, product and brand strategies..
  • May negotiate sponsorship contracts.


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing complex HCP focused programs
  • Experience in a customer facing role


Nice to Have:

  • Surgical portfolio understanding
  • Experience with Robotic Surgery
  • Experience working with medical societies
  • Experience planning and executing surgeon advisory boards
  • Project management skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and emotional quotient

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$152,000.00 - $228,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
