Sourcing Agent - Sustainability & Plastic Recycling Specialist

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive a consistent and reliable supply of feedstock by engaging with potential suppliers, assessing their waste streams, and building strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build Relationships: Connect with potential suppliers, evaluate their waste streams, and ensure they align with customer specifications.
• Understand Needs: Collaborate with internal teams to grasp sourcing requirements and priorities.
• Deliver Excellence: Provide exceptional service to both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Achieve Goals: Meet and exceed KPIs related to sourcing activities, proactively addressing challenges and opportunities.
• Provide Insights: Offer market trend analysis and industry updates to aid decision-making.
• Support Team Growth: Assist in training new team members and sharing expertise to enhance overall effectiveness.
  
  

Experience & Knowledge

• At least 1 year of experience in sourcing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
• Previous experience in the plastics industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with sourcing fundamentals and technical tools, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

Position Details

• Reports To: Feedstock Sourcing Manager
• Type: Salary
• Work Hours: Flexible, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Location: Remote with occasional supplier site visits and plant/warehouse visits in Houston, TX
• Travel: 10-30% local and occasional out-of-state travel
• Physical Demands: Office environment with occasional lifting and manual tasks
