Teem is looking for a meticulous and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounting processes, preparing financial statements, and performing detailed financial analysis. Collaborating with the executive team, you will help shape financial strategies that drive our company's growth and ensure its financial health.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring cash flow, managing budgets, and making sure that we comply with all financial regulations. Your insights will be critical in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving overall efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in finance and accounting, with a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and practices. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are crucial in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial operations of the company
• Manage accounting processes, including the preparation of financial statements
• Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Monitor cash flow and manage departmental budgets
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax laws, and other relevant financial regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Optimize and manage the company’s financial software systems, with a strong emphasis on QuickBooks, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance profitability
• Collaborate with executive teams on financial strategies and policies
• Develop and manage relationships with financial entities, auditors, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role
• Strong background in finance and accounting
• Extensive knowledge of financial principles and regulations
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret financial data accurately
• Significant experience working in a startup environment, ideally within a high-growth company.
• Extensive proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic financial management in a startup context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• CPA certification is a plus
