The Opportunity:

Postmedia Editorial Services is looking for an experienced designer with the strong sense of how aesthetics aid storytelling in newspapers.

What you'll do:

• Build strong, visually appealing pages that enhance feature stories.
• Layout and design of multiple high-profile newspaper pages every day.
• Produce high-impact pages with minimal direction.
  
  

Who you are:

• Strong typography skills.
• Must be able to work quickly and creatively, while exhibiting great people skills.
• Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Excellent attention to detail, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control.
• Able to work well with others
• Advanced understanding of InDesign
• Journalism/graphic design degree or diploma an asset
• Experience with Saxo CMS an asset, but not a requirement.
  
  

The ideal candidate will be an independent worker who is detail oriented. Experience as a copy editor is a plus. Postmedia Editorial Services operates seven days per week, and applicants must be prepared to work evenings and weekends.
