Description
We are seeking a Director of eData Managed Review Operations to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of Managed Review legal services, aligned with our practice group objectives and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with practice group leaders to set the vision, goals, and direction for eData Managed Review Services.
- Develop and implement approved Managed Review policies and procedures, including the rollout and use of new technologies.
- Oversee and direct managed review projects, establishing milestones and monitoring project progress.
- Manage project intake and the closing process for managed reviews, including data and matter disposition.
- Coordinate resources for balanced workloads and work with the eData staffing team to support associate assignments.
- Foster the development of the managed review legal team by providing opportunities, support, and timely feedback.
- Offer training and resources, and oversee the budget lifecycle for eDiscovery, including assisting with cost estimates and ensuring adherence to billing procedures.
- Support the eData Recruiting team with the eData Attorney program, including training, development, and evaluations.
Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in eDiscovery or document review, including a minimum of two years managing reviews and staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong client service orientation with proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Results-driven with excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive and strategic thinker.
- Financial acumen with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as with clients and vendors.
- Proficiency in Excel, database experience, document review platforms, and timekeeping software. Technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft Office Access, SQL, Relativity) and Project Management Certification (PMP) are preferred.
Work Environment
This position offers flexibility with the option to work from any of our offices located in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County (Costa Mesa, CA), Philadelphia, San Francisco, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto, CA), or Washington, D.C., with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
Compensation
Salary ranges vary by location:
- Los Angeles and Orange County, CA: \(159,739 - \)255,582
- New York, NY, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley, CA: \(173,629 - \)277,806
- Washington, D.C.: \(159,739 - \)255,582
The final salary will be determined during the interview process and will depend on factors such as prior experience, expertise, and current business needs. The total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits, such as 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave.
